 The Production Control Specialist is involved with the coordination and control of manufacturing processes and inventory. They ensure that goods and services are produced efficiently and that the correct amount is produced to meet availability commitments. This position directly impacts the planning and assignment of work, implements procedures, and makes recommendations for improvement in methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and maintain system data and documentation for processes
  • Interface with other departments, as required, to maintain process quality
  • Manage and maintain flow of product through the production process including location management (router vs physical)
  • Compile and control documentation for product going into Production (i.e. routers, work instructions and BOM's)
  • Maintain revision control for product in Production
  • Maintain Production schedule and align the schedule with available resources
  • Manage the accessory kit building process to ensure timely availability of "kits" into Finished Goods (FGI) location to meet availability commitments.
  • Manage the physical movement and location tracking of inventory between raw goods (RG), Work-in progress (WIP) and Finished Goods (FGI, from receipt, to stores and ultimately through shipment.
  • Manage the Cycle Count program including diligence for root cause of any inventory adjustments, submitting inventory adjustment requests for approval, ensuring that the daily/monthly count goals are met, and the monthly reporting of metrics associated with cycle count accuracy.
  • Manage and monitor the flag levels associated with accessories in the FGI location including the movement from Raw Goods (RG) to FGI for replenishment.
  • Related to the red tag/MRB ensures that red tag material is physical segregated into the MRB area.
  • Provide backup support for shipping, receiving and final QA
  • Other duties may be added at the discretion of management

EDUCATION

  • High school or equivalent required
  • Some secondary education is preferred
  • Trained/Certified in IPC-610 (Inspection)

EXPERIENCE

  • Electronics-based job history
  • Familiar with manufacturing-based processes including inventory movement, tracking and management.

SKILLS

  • Knowledge & experience of IPC-610 inspection standards
  • Knowledge & experience of ESD practices
  • Experience in performing/managing Stores, Shipping & Receiving functions
  • Experience with cycle counting and physical inventory processes and procedures
  • Understanding & experience of BOM routings & associated transactions
  • Outstanding verbal/written communications skills
  • Ability to develop and document process improvements
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Must possess the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
